The talk earlier this week was that Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch, and Garrett Hedlund were the lead names for casting Finnick in “Catching Fire,” if the studio doesn’t go with an unknown.  Considering most parts in “The Hunger Games” went to semi-well known people, I’m guessing adding an actor with somewhat of a following to play a major character like Finnick Odair is what the studio will do.

I was on Team Garrett (Kitsch is a great actor but had two bombs this year and Hammer is all wrong for this), but in passing I read there’s a fan movement to cast “Grey’s Anatomy” actor Jesse Williams.  I am totally jumping ship to Team Jesse.  I completely see it.  He’s got green, sometimes blue eyes and that streak of a trickster while being able to hold serious scenes. And to state the obvious, he’s impossibly hot, like Finnick.  Yeah, Jesse for Finnick all the way.  

I also saw Ryan Kwanten from “True Blood” thrown in there, which I also support.
